Quakle announces that it is to cease trading.

"After considering the peer-to-peer lending market and under the current circumstances of the business, the board took the decision not to resume activities on the Quakle website. Payments will continue to be monitored and chased for when the borrower is not paying and lenders will receive their credit once a month. The website will be closed at some point in the future although the contact email address will be active until such a time it will not be needed anymore. We understand that this announcement is not satisfying enough for our estimated members but it will serve as a notice and will be followed by a further announcement - not before two weeks - that will explain in more details how we intend to proceed and what will happen."
