Funding Circle API Update
Funding Circle announced a closed beta of their API back in November 2013, and since then developers - including those at P2P money - have been eagerly waiting for this functionality. We asked Funding Circle for an update in March 2014 and we received the following statement:
I have spoken with the Tech team who advise that they are conducting final testing on the API and are expecting to release this by the end of quarter 2 of this year.
Lenders will be contacted when this is launched.
In August 2014 Funding Circle subsequently stated that the API had been pushed out by at least 6 months, but since then there has not been any further communication on the subject.
We recently asked Funding Circle for an update on the eagerly awaited API. Here is the response we received:
At present we do not have an estimated date for release of API access. Therefore, we would advise that it may not be accessible in the short term.
I appreciate any disappointment caused, and we will let you know if the situation changes.
We hope that the API will eventually be given priority, especially as it is 18 months since the original announcement of a beta version.
